Spring Rain

This poem is great for springtime!

The soft pitter patter of rain,
Falls against the window.
Washing away the winter,
And creating a rainbow.
Falling from the gray skies,
Splashing on the floor.
A sprinkle, shower, or drizzle,
Turns into a pour.
Through the night,
A seemingly endless torrent of rain.
Dark, cold and wet,

Efforts to get warm are in vain.
Water washing away the memories,
The pain from yesterday.
And when the sun comes up,
The light will signal a new day.
Look up to the sunny azure
Lift your chin up, spring is here,
Flowers bloom and all is bright
Summer will soon draw near.
