Empathy and Selfishness

A poem about the importance of empathy.

Always waiting for tomorrow,
Never seeing another's sorrow,
As all your "painful" days go by,
You are blind to watch others cry.

So what? You didn't get your way?
There are others in more pain.
You see smiles everyday, but
Who's world is upside down, you cannot say.

Always waiting for tomorrow,
Never seeing another's sorrow,
As all your "painful" days go by,
You are blind to see others cry.

While you have slight unhappiness,
Others are hopeless, homeless, penniless.
You only mourn for your own small losses.
Don't be so selfish, try helping other causes.

Always waiting for tomorrow,
Never seeing another's sorrow,
As all your "painful" days go by,
You are blind to notice others cry.
